Law | Why Glamorgan?
Glamorgan has a long track record of work in the field of law, including the provision of courses, research and consultancy. Our law graduates can be found in a variety of successful legal roles locally, nationally and internationally. The Law school is based in Ty Crawshay, a grade II listed building on the Treforest campus. The building houses dedicated facilities for law students including a moot courtroom, postgraduate study areas and interview practice rooms
Our staff come from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds and have a wealth of both practical and academic experience which they bring to the delivery of courses.
The Law School maintains strong links with the profession, and among the staff on the LPC are a Deputy District Judge, an Employment Tribunal Chair and an Asylum and Immigration Tribunal Chair.
Research at Glamorgan Law School is recognised both nationally and internationally.
Key research areas include Mental Heath, Sexual and Violent Offences, Property, and Public Law. This expertise directly influences our teaching, ensuring it is both current and relevant.
